Our Story
Americana Cakes and Sweets was started in Turku, Finland in 2019 by American Nichole Starkman. She saw a demand for American-style cakes and treats in Turku and decided to bring her authentic American touch to desserts, while adding Finnish twists, such as local berries, Finnish chocolate and favorite Finnish flavors.
While Nichole loves making beautiful cakes, her main passion is to create delicious cakes! So flavor is always the #1 priority at Americana Cakes & Sweets.

Meet Nichole
My name is Nichole and I’m the face behind the cakes. I am originally from Duluth, Minnesota, USA, and have been living in Finland with my Finnish partner, Antti, since 2015.
I have always loved baking for friends and family, and saw an opportunity to bring some fun and different American-style treats to customers in Finland. I take great pride in everything I make, using the best quality ingredients and paying close attention to every detail.
